ElektroG (German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act)
WEEE Reg. No.: DE 45100079
Notes on the ElektroG:
1. Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment
The symbol of the "crossed-out bin" means that you are legally required to ensure these devices are collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. Disposal via household waste, such as the residual waste bin or the yellow bin, is prohibited. Avoid incorrect disposal by using the proper collection and return points.
2. Removal of Batteries and Lamps
If the products contain batteries, accumulators, or lamps that can be removed without damaging the device, they must be taken out before disposal and disposed of separately as batteries or lamps. The following batteries or accumulators are contained in this electrical device: Battery type [please complete] (e.g., button cells or AAA+) with the chemical elements [please complete] (e.g., lithium or manganese).
3. Options for Returning Old Devices
Owners of old devices can return them free of charge within the frameworks provided by public waste disposal authorities for the collection and return of old devices to ensure proper disposal. Under certain conditions, returns can also be made to distributors.
For Distributors: The return must be free of charge when purchasing a new device of the same type (1:1 return). Regardless, there is the option to return old devices to the distributor for free. The condition for this is that the external dimensions do not exceed 25 centimeters, and the return is limited to three old devices per device type (0:1 return).
Retail: Distributors with a retail space of at least 400 square meters for electrical and electronic devices are required to accept returns of old electrical devices. Additionally, food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800 square meters who offer and place electrical and electronic devices on the market multiple times a year or permanently are also required to accept returns.
Distance Selling Market: Distributors who sell their products using remote communication methods are required to accept returns of old devices if their warehouse and shipping areas for electrical and electronic devices are at least 400 m².
B2B Manufacturers: In the case of B2B devices, the return does not need to be offered free of charge.
4. Data Protection
We inform all end users of electrical and electronic waste that they are responsible for deleting personal data from the devices to be disposed of.
5. WEEE Registration Number
Under the registration number DE 45100079, we are registered as a manufacturer of electrical and/or electronic devices with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register, Nordostpark 72, 90411 Nuremberg.
